In our Centre, each professional figure is specifically trained for the diagnosis and treatment of individual pathologies. We work as a team, relying on the valuable collaboration of dental assistants, our hygienists, and state-of-the-art equipment present in the Centre.

Dr. Elena Bondi graduated with honours in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis from the University of Bologna with an experimental thesis on oral complications in children undergoing bone marrow transplantation.

The research stemming from this work laid the foundation for drug trial protocols initiated in important Bone Marrow Transplant Units in Italy (Bologna, Milan) and are still in use. She was a Tutor of Oral Medicine at the University of Milan in the years 94 and 95. She collaborated with the Dental Clinic and the Paediatric Oncohaematology Department of the S. Orsola Hospital in Bologna for about ten years. She underwent clinical training at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and is the author and co-author of scientific papers and speaker at scientific congresses.

She deals with pulpal pathology, both in children and adults, and aesthetic restorations.

Dr. Mauro Farneti graduated with honours in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis from the University of Bologna. He attended clinical internships at the Department of Periodontology at the University of Gainesville (Florida). He was a Tutor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Bologna for the academic year 93/94. Author of publications and oral presentations in the periodontal and implant field. University Master Lecturer in Implantology and Dental Prosthesis at the University of Palermo for the academic year 2006/07. Active member since 2000 of the Italian Society of Periodontology (www.sidp.it), for which he served as Coordinator of the Editorial Commission, member of the Cultural Commission, and finally held the role of General Secretary for the biennium 2010/2011. He is the author of publications and speaker at scientific congresses.

He carries out professional activities at the Dental Centre, specifically dealing with Periodontology, Implantology, and Prosthodontics.

Dr. Catia Zanfanti graduated from the University of Bologna in the academic year 1991/92. Since then, she has specialised in orthodontic practice by attending various schools for the application of different techniques, from interceptive mobile therapy for children to various fixed techniques on permanent dentition, to invisible techniques with removable aligners. The basis of orthodontic therapy always remains maximum attention to pre-treatment diagnosis. This allows for the development of targeted treatment plans tailored to the real needs of patients, whether adults or children, minimising the duration of treatments.

Dr. Caterina Cataldi, speech therapist, assists the orthodontist's treatment. Often the intervention of the speech therapist facilitates or even eliminates the need for long orthodontic therapies. Her professionalism and friendliness help children to practise and improve.

Dental Hygienists and Chairside Assistants

Our Dental Hygienists are all graduates and have extensive and varied experience in this field.

Dr. Leoluca Valeriani and Dr. Roberto Rossi are responsible for oral hygiene in adults. Dr. Rossi is also our reference consultant for Oral Pathology, being a Doctor of Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis.

Dr. Antonella Cavalieri and Dr. Sonia Pecoraro are our Paediatric Hygienists. Dr. Cavalieri authored a brochure that accompanies parents and children in the world of prevention and will help you understand how to avoid the most common mistakes in this field. Completing the staff are our Chairside Assistants: standing from left: Amalia, the legendary Alessandra, and Elisabetta. Below, Gabriela and Giulia.
